Spanish stock market falls 0.64 pct on Monday

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 0.64 percent on Monday to close at 8,619.30 points, down from the 8,674.40 points of Friday.

On Monday's session, Banco Popular shares led falls losing 7.78 percent, followed by Banco Sabadell, Bankia, Caixabank, Banco Santander and ArcelorMittal that lost 2.79 percent, 2.38 percent, 2.02 percent, 1.59 percent and 1.43 percent, respectively.

On the other hand, Endesa shares led rises climbing 1.86 percent, followed by AENA, Acciona, Merlin, Grifols and R.E.C. that rose 1.73 percent, 0.79 percent, 0.64 percent, 0.63 percent and 0.50 percent, respectively.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 135 points on Monday and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.57 percent, both showing no big differences when compared with Friday's closing time. Endit
