Backgrounder: Makeup of Montenegro's new cabinet

The new cabinet of Montenegro, presided by Prime Minister Dusko Markovic, former deputy prime minister that replaced PM Milo Djukanovic after October 16 elections, was endorsed by the country's parliament on Monday.

The new, 41st government in the history of Montenegro will have 19 ministries and three deputy prime minister posts, which will be performed by Milutin Simovic, Zoran Pazin and Rafet Husovic. Meanwhile, one minister without portfolios will enter the cabinet.

The following are the makeup of the new cabinet:

-- Milutin Simovic was sworn in as minister of agriculture and rural development as well as Deputy Prime Minister in charge of economic policy and financial system

-- Predrag Boskovic was sworn in as minister of defense

-- Darko Radunovic was sworn in as minister of finance

-- Srdjan Darmanovic was sworn in as minister of foreign affairs

-- Aleksandar Andrija Pejovic was sworn in as minister of European affairs

-- Damir Sehovic was sworn in as minister of education

-- Sanja Damjanovic was sworn in as minister of science

-- Janko Ljumovic was sworn in as minister of culture

-- Dragica Sekulic was sworn in as minister of economy

-- Osman Nurkovic was sworn in as minister of transport and maritime transport

-- Pavle Radulovic was sworn in as minister of sustainable development and tourism

-- Kenan Hrapovic was sworn in as minister of health

-- Mehmet Zenka was sworn in as minister of human and minority rights

-- Kemal Purisic was sworn in as minister of labor and social care

-- Nikola Janovic was sworn in as minister of sport

-- Suzana Pribilovic was sworn in as minister of public administration

Only three former ministers are in the new cabinet:

-- Zoran Pazin was sworn in as minister of justice as well as Deputy Prime Minister in charge of political system, interior and foreign policy

-- Rafet Husovic was sworn in as minister of interior affairs as well as Deputy Prime Minister in charge of regional development

-- Marija Vucinovic was sworn in as minister without portfolio
