French stock market Paris CAC 40 index down 0.88 pct on Monday

French stock market index, the CAC 40, lost 0.88 percent and closed at 4,510.39 points on Monday, down 39.88 points.

The CAC 40 of Paris closed lower on Monday with 35 of the 40 selected companies experiencing decrease.

The top three gainers on Monday were Veolia Environnement, up 0.55 percent, Renault, up 0.33 percent, and Peugeot, up 0.18 percent.

The three companies whose stocked dropped most were BNP Paribas, down 2.62 percent, Credit Agricole, down 2.17 percent, and Societe Generale, down 2.12 percent.

In the previous trading day, the CAC 40 increased slightly by 0.17 percent to close at 4,550.27 points, up 7.71 points. Endit
