Chinese authorities to supervise 41 major telecom fraud cases

China's Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) and Ministry of Public Security (MPS) have announced they will supervise the handling of 41 major telecom fraud cases.

According to a notice released by the SPP and MPS, the cases involve losses of 400 million yuan (around 57.9 million U.S. dollars) and were reported in over 20 provincial-level regions.

More than 250,000 victims and over 1,100 suspects were involved in the cases, the notice added.

In September, the SPP and MPS began to supervise the handling of 21 telecom fraud cases. Endi
