EU's resolution harms fragile relations between EU, Belarus: MFA

The European Parliament's resolution regarding Belarus fails to reflect the spirit of current interaction between Belarus and the European Union, Belarusian Foreign Ministry press secretary Dmitry Mironchik said on Friday.

This document does not only fails to reflect the spirit of current interaction between Belarus and the European Union but also does obvious harm to the emerging fragile process of normalization of the relations between the two parties, Mironchik said commenting on the resolution adopted the day before.

The press secretary noted "a series of absolutely false premises and allegations show that relevant European Parliament members do not even want to grasp what is happening in the European region and that the negative sentiment about Belarus prevails".

On November 24, Europarliament adopted a resolution which refers to the absence of free and fair elections in Belarus. Endit
