Germany's largest airline company Lufthansa released on its website on Friday the flight schedule for Saturday, saying 137 flights would be canceled due to the extended pilots' strike which will affect another 30,000 passengers.

The pilots' union Vereinigung Cockpit (VC) announced Thursday it was extending its strike further to Saturday, with the total number of affected passengers climbing to 345,000 due to the cancellation of 2,755 flights by Lufthansa over the four strike days.

The strike began on Wednesday.

The company said that sub-brands of Lufthansa Group including Eurowings, Germanwings, SWISS, Austrian Airlines, Air Dolomiti and Brussels Airlines would operate as planned, and that the pilots of Lufthansa Cargo had not called a strike. Endit
