SPP investigates fatal power plant accident

China's Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) sent staff Thursday to investigate a power plant accident that killed 74 in eastern China, it said Friday.

The victims were working at the Fengcheng Power Plant in the city of Yichun, Jiangxi Province, when a platform of the power plant's cooling tower under construction collapsed at 7 a.m. Thursday.

A further two were injured.
