Chinese president returns from Latin America, APEC tour

President Xi Jinping returned to Beijing Friday afternoon after his state visits to Ecuador, Peru and Chile.

During his time in Peru, Xi attended the 24th Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Economic Leaders' Meeting held in Lima, the capital city.

Xi's entourage, including Peng Liyuan, his wife; Wang Huning, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and director of the Policy Research Office of the CPC Central Committee; Li Zhanshu, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and the Secretariat of the CPC Central Committee, and director of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee; and State Councilor Yang Jiechi, returned to Beijing with the president.
