British FTSE 100 rose 0.17 pct on Thursday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Thursday rose by 0.17 percent, or 11.49 points, to 6,829.20 points.

Share price of Direct Line Insurance Group increased by 2.84 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. 3i Group, Antofagasta, Ashtead Group and InterContinental Hotels Group increased by 2.82 percent, 2.57 percent, 2.47 percent and 1.78 percent, respectively.

EasyJet led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.29 percent, following by International Consolidated Airlines Group (2.24 percent), Johnson Matthey (1.76 percent), Travis Perkins (1.62 percent) and DCC (1.40 percent). Enditem
