Paris CAC 40 index gains 0.29 pct Thursday

French stock market index, the CAC 40, gained 0.29 percent and closed at 4,542.56 points on Thursday.

Remy Cointreau gained 1.43 percent to close at 75.40 euros(79.62 U.S. dollars). Net profit of the French alcoholic beverage company went up by 14.6 percent to 76 million euros between April and September this year.

CNP Assurances decreased 0.33 percent to close at 16.495 euros. Pernod Ricard, a French company that produces distilled beverages, fell 2.1 percent, Vivendi, a French multinational mass media company, lost 0.7 percent. Endit
