Seoul shares open lower

Seoul shares opened lower on Thursday.

The benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) inched down 0.58 points, or 0.03 percent, to trade at 1,987.37 in the first 15 minutes of trading.

South Koreas currency was quoted at 1,183.70 won against the U.S. dollar as of 9:15 a.m., down 7.50 won from Wednesdays close. Endit
