Four soldiers killed in road accident in Ukraine

Xinhua, November 24, 2016 Adjust font size:

Four Ukrainian army servicemen aged between 19 and 43 years were killed in a road accident in Ukraine's southern Nikolaev region, the National Police said on Wednesday.

The accident occurred at 4:30 p.m. local time (1430 GMT) Tuesday, when the vehicle carrying the soldiers collided with a truck on a regional road, the police said in a statement.

Three servicemen were killed at the scene, while another died in the hospital, it added.

A preliminary police report blamed the collision on the truck driver, who escaped the accident unhurt. Further investigation was underway. Endit
