British FTSE 100 decreases 0.03 pct

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Wednesday decreased by 0.03 percent, or 2.01 points, to 6,817.71 points.

Share price of Provident Financial increased by 3.25 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. Anglo American, Compass Group, BHP Billiton and Bunzl increased by 2.44 percent, 2.19 percent, 2.17 percent and 1.74 percent respectively.

Randgold Resources led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 5.33 percent, following by Fresnillo (2.96 percent), Polymetal International (2.76 percent), Tesco (2.42 percent) and Admiral Group (2.08 percent). Endit
