Paris Saint-Germain pursue Brazilian teenager

Xinhua, November 23, 2016 Adjust font size:

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly leading the race to sign highly rated Brazilian midfielder Thiago Maia.

But the French Ligue 1 champions face competition from Manchester United and Chelsea, who are also said to be eyeing a January move for the 19-year-old.

According to the Sambafoot news portal, Paris Saint-Germain are willing to pay 20 million euros for the playmaker.

Maia has made 58 appearances for Santos since his first-team debut in 2014. He is contracted to the club until June 2019.

The teenager has represented Brazil at youth level and was a part of the Selecao team that won the Olympic football gold medal in Rio de Janeiro in August. Endit
