British FTSE 100 rose 0.62 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.62 percent, or 41.76 points, to 6,819.72 points.

Share price of Anglo American increased by 7.62 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Glencore, BHP Billiton, Admiral Group and Centrica increased by 5.33 percent, 4.92 percent, 3.85 percent and 3.74 percent respectively.

Compass Group led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 4.67 percent, following by Babcock International Group (4.64 percent), Fresnillo (3.61 percent), Mediclinic International (3.18 percent) and Kingfisher (3.16 percent). Endit
