Poland to receive 1.9 billion USD from EU for transport projects

The Polish Development Ministry said on Tuesday that Poland will obtain a total of 8 billion zloty (1.9 billion U.S. dollars) from the European Union to be used on sixteen transport projects.

In the press release, the ministry said that the European Commission has handed over signed agreements on funds for 16 transport projects in Poland. The total sum of support will be 8 billion zloty and come from the Connecting Europe Facility (CEF).

The future and currently implemented investments are to be made in railway, road, maritime and aviation sectors.

The CEF facility is aimed at making better connections between the EU countries and is beneficiary to citizens and entrepreneurs as it helps them use the EU internal market in most effective way. Endit
