Iran's security forces dismantle terror cell

Xinhua, November 23, 2016 Adjust font size:

An Iranian security official said Tuesday that the Iranian Intelligence Ministry busted a terrorist team in the eastern parts of the country, Press TV reported.

One of the four members in the terrorist group was killed and the other three were arrested, deputy interior minister for security affairs, Hossein Zolfaqari, told reporters.

In the operation, some explosives were confiscated, Zolfaqari said, without specifying the affiliation of the militants and the accurate location of the clash.

Iran has reportedly thwarted a number of terrorist activities along border and within the country over the past months, arresting several terrorists and confiscating large amounts of explosives and bomb-making materials. Endit
