Germany's automobile giant Volkswagen presented an ambitious new strategy Tuesday which aims to reposition the brand's place on the market by 2025.
Called 'Transform 2025', "the new strategy focuses on clearer brand positioning across the various regions and segments, backed by significant improvements in efficiency and productivity," the company headquartered in Wolfsburg said in its statement.

With the help of the new strategy, Volkswagen aims to double the brand's operating margin to 4.0 percent by 2020, with a further increase to 6.0 percent by 2025.
"Volkswagen will change radically. Very few things will stay as they are," chairman of the board of management of the Volkswagen Passenger Cars Brand, Herbert Diess, said.
In its "pact for the future" released last Friday, Volkswagen said it intended to cut 23,000 jobs in Germany by 2020. Endit
