The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media outlets on Tuesday.

-- Zambia has commissioned its first-ever mini-hydro power grid under a program aimed at electrifying rural areas.

The 8.7-million-U.S.-dollars mini-hydro power grid to be constructed in a remote area of northwest Zambia will have the capacity to produce 640 kilowatts of electricity to cover 12,000 people. (Zambia Daily Mail)

-- Ten Swedish companies have expressed interest to invest in Zambia's agriculture sector.

The companies were part of a Swedish delegation that visited Zambia this year during a Swedish-organized business visit. (Times of Zambia)

-- Over 1,000 inmates have successfully completed training in various fields of study while incarcerated under a program introduced in Zambia's prisons aimed at empowering the inmates with life skills.
