Polish PM to visit Israel to strengthen economic cooperation

Xinhua, November 21, 2016 Adjust font size:

Polish Prime Minister Beata Szydlo will visit Israel on Monday and hold talks with Israeli officials that will focus on economic cooperation between the two countries, among other issues, local media reported on Sunday.

"PM Beata Szydlo and her ministers will go to Israel on Monday for intergovernmental consultations. This form of cooperation is an excellent opportunity to tighten cooperation between our countries and exchange experiences in many fields," government spokesman Rafal Bochenek told Polish Press Agency (PAP) on Sunday.

Beata Szydlo's agenda includes a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Bochenek added.

"One of the crucial issues will be economic cooperation under the Poland's Responsible Development Plan that PM Szydlo's government has been carrying out," Bochenek added.

A Polish-Israeli agreement on social security is expected to be signed during the visit, according to PAP.

The Polish-Israeli social security deal will improve the situation of pensioners and disability benefit recipients who are entitled to payments from both countries, Bochenek explained. Endit
