Liu Yunshan, a senior Communist Party of China (CPC) leader, has urged Party organizations at the grassroots level to make more efforts to serve the people and enforce strict governance of the Party by spotting and solving problems.
Liu, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, made the remarks during an inspection in east China's Zhejiang Province from Wednesday to Friday.
Liu visited various villages, communities and enterprises to review the development of local Party work and the study and implementation of the guidelines established at the sixth plenary session of the 18th CPC Central Committee.
"Party members and officials should study the essence of the meeting thoroughly and apply it to their own thoughts and daily work," Liu said, urging them to fully grasp the "significant meaning" of identifying General Secretary Xi Jinping as the core.
A communique released after the session called on all Party members to "closely unite around the CPC Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping as the core" and resolutely safeguard the authority of the CPC Central Committee and its central, unified leadership.
Liu told local Party organizations to spot problems in the local CPC teams, make more efforts to serve the people, and explore innovative methods to develop the Party at the grassroots level. Endi
