Turkish president begins two-day visit to Pakistan

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday arrived in Pakistan on a two-day visit to the country for talks on bilateral and regional issues.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif received the Turkish president at the Nur Khan Airbase in Rawalpindi near the country's capital city of Islamabad.
A high-level entourage including ministers, senior officials and business community members are accompanying the Turkish president.
Erdogan met with his Pakistani counterpart Mamnoon Hussain later Wednesday.
He will also hold talks with Sharif on Thursday.
The two leaders are expected to exchange views on the entire gamut of bilateral relations besides regional and international issues.
Erdogan is also scheduled to address a joint session of parliament here on Thursday.
The visiting Turkish president will also travel to Lahore, the capital city of Punjab Province. Endit
