Tina Charles joins Jinqiang Club of WCBA

Former U.S. national team player Tina Charles joined Sichuan Jinqiang Club of WCBA, said the Jinqiang club on Wednesday.

As Stephen Dawson's contract is about to expire, the club has signed Tina Charles to fill the vacancy. Charles will participate in the second phase of 2016/2017 season of WCBA.

Charles had helped the Xinjiang team finish second in the 2015/2016 season as a centre forward.

Charles, born on Dec. 5, 1988, was an American basketball player for the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and the Fenerbahçe of the TWBL. Charles was drafted first overall in the 2010 WNBA Draft. In 2012 and 2016, she was the member of the U.S. Olympic team. Enditem
