British FTSE 100 rises 0.59 pct on Tuesday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Tuesday rose by 0.59 percent, or 39.56 points, to 6,792.74 points.

Share price of Hikma Pharmaceuticals increased by 6.10 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Tesco, easyJet, Wm Morrison Supermarkets and Intertek Group increased by 5.42 percent, 5.33 percent, 4.37 percent and 3.62 percent respectively.

Anglo American led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 6.68 percent, following by Glencore (5.45 percent), Antofagasta (4.96 percent), BHP Billiton (4.86 percent) and Rio Tinto (4.50 percent). Endit
