1st LD: Bomb blast kills 1 pupil, wounds 2 others in Afghan eastern Nangarhar province

One student lost his life and two others injured as a bomb planted by militants went off in Rodat district in the eastern Nangarhar province with Jalalabad as its capital 120 km east of Kabul on Tuesday, spokesman for provincial government Attaullah Khogiani said.

"An explosive device planted by enemies exploded in Chinar village of Rodat district today morning killing one innocent student of a primary school on the spot and injured two others," Khogiani told reporters here.

All the victims are eight, nine and 10 years old children, the official added, saying the injured children had been taken to hospital for medical treatment. Endit
