Tokyo shares close mixed by break on gains lock-in

Xinhua, November 15, 2016 Adjust font size:

Tokyo stocks closed mixed in the morning session on Tuesday as investors sought to lock in recent gains after a three-trading-day rise.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average shed 26.11 points, or 0.15 percent, from Monday to 17,646.51.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange edged up 0.28 points, or 0.02 percent, to 1,400.28.

Gainers were led by banking, warehousing and harbor transportation service issues, while decliners were led by pulp and paper and land transportation issues. Endit
