Suspected terrorist group discovered in St. Petersburg, eight people arrested

Eight citizens of CIS countries (notably Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan) were arrested in St. Petersburg, Russia Sunday on suspicion of terrorism.

"Interfax" reported Monday that Russian FSB discovered a terrorist group that was planning to commit a series of terrorist attacks in Moscow and St. Petersburg. Ten members of the group were detained on Saturday, FSB also found explosives, firearms, etc.

The detainees testified about their contacts with the terrorist organization "Islamic State". Endit
