Vietnam's HCM City spots 3 additional Zika patients

Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City has just detected three new cases of Zika virus, increasing the total in the city to 38 and in the country to 46, the municipal Health Department announced Monday.

Among the three new cases, two are from District 2 and one from Binh Thanh District. To date, 13 out of 24 rural and urban districts of Ho Chi Minh City have had Zika patients.

Among five pregnant women recently infected with Zika virus, one from the city's District 12 has just given a baby, but the baby has not suffered from microcephaly.

Vietnam has so far reported 46 Zika patients, including 38 from Ho Chi Minh City, two in Dak Lak and Binh Duong provinces each, and one in Khanh Hoa, Phu Yen, Long An and Ba Ria Vung Tau provinces each. Enditem
