An explosion hit an industrial zone in the Turkish city of Istanbul on Monday, wounding at least 10 people, local media reported.

The blast occurred at a manufacturing workshop within the industrial zone in Istanbul's Asian district of Sultanbeyli, the Hurriyet daily said.

The CNNTurk said a boiler inside the workshop exploded. Fire brigades and ambulances were dispatched to the scene, the reports said.

Hours earlier, a package delivered to an electronic company in Istanbul's another Asian district of Maltepe went off when opened, wounding three people. Endit
