The following are news highlights in Ethiopia's major media outlets on Saturday.

-- Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Minister Workneh Gebeyehu said Ethiopia has the desire to replicate the people-to-people relation with Canada to the economic and political spheres.

-- The State of Emergency Inquiry Board said 11, 607 people had been detained following the violence occurred in various parts of Ethiopia.

-- Ethiopian Foreign Minister Workneh Gebeyehu received his South Sudanese counterpart Deng Alor Kuol on Friday in Addis Ababa, wherein the two sides reaffirmed to lift bilateral cooperation into a new high.
