British FTSE 100 decreases 1.43 pct on Friday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday decreased by 1.43 percent, or 97.55 points, to 6,730.43 points.

Share price of BT Group increased by 3.78 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. Marks & Spencer Group, Next, Severn Trent and Associated British Foods increased by 3.28 percent, 3.05 percent, 2.21 percent and 2.16 percent respectively.

Fresnillo led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 8.95 percent, following by Randgold Resources (6.73 percent), Standard Chartered (6.34 percent), Smiths Group (4.98 percent) and Polymetal International (4.94 percent). Endit
