-- President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated the United States President-elect, Donald Trump, saying that he looked forward to working with him to strengthen the already established friendly relations between both countries.

This is just as diplomats and international relations experts shared their opinion on what they expect from a Trump presidency as it relates to Nigeria in particular and Africa in general. (Daily Trust)

-- Nobel Laureate Professor Wole Soyinka has given an indication that he will tear up his American Green Card on January 20, 2017, the day Donald Trump will be inaugurated as the 45th President of the U.S.

Last week, Soyinka, winner of 1986 Nobel Prize in Literature, had in annoyance with the possible victory of the Republican candidate, threatened to destroy the card. (The Punch) Endit
