Hong Kong stocks close 1.89 pct higher

Hong Kong stocks closed up 423.92 points, or 1.89 percent, to 22,839.11 points on Thursday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 22,777.51 and 22,918.34. Turnover totaled 71.88 billion HK dollars (about 9.27 billion U.S. dollars). Endit
