Former deputy head of Heilongjiang legislature prosecuted for bribery

Chinese prosecutors have indicted Gai Ruyin, former deputy head of the Standing Committee of Heilongjiang Provincial People's Congress, accusing him of bribery.

Gai abused his power to seek benefits for others and accepted "a huge amount of goods and money from others" while he held major posts in the province, according to the indictment from Tianjin municipal people's procuratorate.

The procuratorate filed the case to the First Intermediate People's Court of Tianjin. Endit
