2 children killed in bomb attack in SE Turkey

Two children were killed, four others injured in a bomb attack in Turkish southeastern province of Sirnak on Saturday, local Dogan News Agency reported.

The Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) militants detonated the bomb laid on the road, Sirnak Governor's Office said in a statement.

Six wounded children were brought to the hospital immediately, and two of them died due to severe injuries.

An operation was launched in order to apprehend the terrorists involved in the attack.

The PKK is listed as a terrorist organization by the United States, the European Union and Turkey. Endit
