Xinhua, November 5, 2016 Adjust font size:

Premier Li Keqiang on Saturday called for enhancing agricultural cooperation between China and Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries to bring new vigor to global trade and investments in the area.

In a congratulatory letter sent to the Meeting of China-CEEC Ministers of Agriculture, the premier said China is willing to share its experience with CEE nations for better cooperation.

China and CEE countries have achieved successful results in technological exchanges, industrial cooperation and the production and trade of farm produce, Li said.

In the letter, Li hailed the importance of agriculture in the country's development, highlighting the role of government in rural reforms, structural adjustment and rural infrastructure to spur growth in agriculture.

The meeting, focusing on a green environment and innovative agricultural development, was held in the southwestern city of Kunming. Agriculture ministers and business representatives from the 16 CEE countries attended. Endi
