Fluminense eyeing Peru forward Farfan

Xinhua, November 3, 2016 Adjust font size:

Rio de Janeiro giants Fluminense have made Peru international forward Jefferson Farfan their key transfer target for next season, according to media reports.

The 32-year-old has been a free agent since ending a 15-month spell with Al Jazira Club last month.

Fluminense face competition for Farfan's signature from a host of clubs, including France's Olympique de Marseille and Mexico's Cruz Azul, the Globo newspaper reported.

Capped 72 times for Peru's national team, Farfan's career has included spells at PSV Eindhoven and Schalke 04.

Farfan's Peru attacking partner Paolo Guerrero currently plays for Fluminense's local rivals Flamengo. Endit
