Spanish stock market falls 1.85 pct, closes at 8,873 points

The Spanish stock market index Ibex-35 fell 1.85 percent on Wednesday to close at 8,873.40 points, down from the 9,040.70 points of Tuesday.

On Wednesday session, BBVA shares led falls losing 3.96 percent, followed by Banco Popular, Mediaset, Gas Natural, Mapfre and Gamesa that lost 3.81 percent, 3.13 percent, 2.93 percent, 2.84 percent and 2.82 percent respectively.

On the other hand, only Viscofan shares rose, climbing 0.05 percent.

Meanwhile, Spain's risk premium closed at 115 points, up from the 106 points of Tuesday, and Spain's 10-year bond interest rate closed at 1.29 percent, showing no big differences when compared with Tuesday closing time. Endit
