Two robbers attack luxury watchmaker's shop in Prague centre

Xinhua, November 1, 2016 Adjust font size:

Two armed perpetrators robbed a luxury watchmaker's shop in Prague city center before Monday noon, said police spokeswoman Andrea Zoulova.

She said the robbers were probably foreigners, and they robbed goods worth one million crowns (about 40,000 U.S. dollars).

Zoulova said no one was hurt during the robbery and the robbers are on the run. The perpetrators possibly escaped on a motorbike that the police found in a nearby street shortly after the crime.

Zoulova said not only the Prague police, but also other regional police officers have been searching for the perpetrators intensively.

She said the case was took over by the regional investigators due to the high amount lost. They will assess the available evidence from the shop and the municipal camera system in the next hours. For tactical reasons, further details would not be released.
