British FTSE 100 increases 0.14 pct

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Friday increased by 0.14 percent, or 9.69 points, to 6,996.26 points.

Share price of International Consolidated Airlines Group SA increased by 5.93 percent, topping the gainers of the blue chips. J Sainsbury, Barratt Developments, Next and easyJet increased by 4.10 percent, 4.06 percent, 3.50 percent and 3.42 percent respectively.

Shire led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 3.40 percent, following by Intu Properties (1.92 percent), Prudential (1.90 percent), Hikma Pharmaceuticals (1.77 percent) and Admiral Group (1.40 percent). Endit
