Poland receives 308.03 million euros in EU funds in September

Polish Finance Ministry announced on Friday that Poland received 308.03 million euros in EU funds in September, with current transfers amounting to 302.13 million euros and capital transfers to 5.9 million euros, according to Polish Press Agency.

Poland received 42 million euros in Cohesion Policy transfers over the month.

Poland is a beneficiary of EU assistance. The EU has decided to allocate 82.5 billion euros to Poland over the 2014- 2020 period.

The largest amounts of the funds would be invested in transport infrastructure (road and railway), environmental protection and energy production, as well projects in the area of culture, employment, education or prevention of social exclusion.

Meanwhile, in September Poland paid 372.51 million euros to the EU budget. (1 euro = 1.09 U.S. dollars) Endit
