Croatia to support BiH on its EU path: Croatian PM

Xinhua, October 28, 2016 Adjust font size:

Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) could count on Croatia's full support in its European integration process, visiting Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said here on Friday.

Plenkovic made the comment after meeting with Denis Zvizdic, BiH chairman of Council of Ministers. An welcoming ceremony was held by Zvizdic in front of the parliament building in Sarajevo.

"We will continue our active support to BiH, especially on its EU path," said Plenkovic during a joint press conference with Zvizdic.

Plenkovic said that his visit to Sarajevo was a clear confirmation of the promise he had made in the election campaign that BiH would be a key foreign policy priority of his government.

For his part, Zvizdic stressed that Croatia has truly been a very constructive proponent of the European road for BiH.

"Our talks were related to the two key segments, which are European road for BiH and economic development and cooperation with our closest neighbor - Croatia, and the whole of Europe," Zvizdic said.

Plenkovic arrived in Sarajevo on Friday for a two-day official visit to BiH. This is his first abroad visit after taking office on Oct.19. Endit
