81 IS suspects seized in Turkey

Turkish police on Thursday detained 81 people suspected of links to the Islamic State (IS), local media reported.

Among the suspects, who were seized in simultaneous operations conducted in Istanbul and five other cities, 60 are foreigners intending to go to IS camps in Syria and Iraq through illegal routes, the Haberturk daily said.

In the operations, police also seized two guns, 200 bullets, organizational documents, military camouflage and digital materials, the daily noted.

The Turkish army hit as well 94 IS targets in northern Syria early Thursday amid its ongoing operation in the region, the military said. Endit
