Myanmar will cooperate with New Zealand in implementing a development project for dairy farming, official media reported Wednesday.
The project will include opening of a vocational center to offer technical knowhow with the assistance of New Zealand experts next year, a release of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation was quoted as saying.
Trainees , who complete the course, will receive certification, the report said.
A five-year sustainable plan to develop Myanmar's dairy cattle breeding sector has been underway since 2013 to which New Zealand government offered to render assistance.
Regional dairy development boards have also been formed across the country, focusing on establishment of dairy cattle breeding farms and value-added dairy product factories.
New Zealand pledged 7 million NZ dollars (5.7 million U.S. dollars) toward humanitarian aid and the construction of dairy farm capabilities in Myanmar. Endit
