Myanmar's Parliament to resume sessions in November

Myanmar's parliament announced Tuesday that it will resume its third sessions with the two Houses on Nov. 16 after a month of adjournment.

The second sessions of the two Houses ended on Oct. 7.

The current parliament, formed through the general election in November last year, lasted for over eight months since February this year.

Meanwhile, the Union Election Commission announced holding by-election on April 1 next year to fill 19 vacant parliamentary seats left by some representatives who have become government leaders and cabinet ministers. Endit
