Xinhua, October 25, 2016 Adjust font size:

Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen left here Tuesday for a series of summits in Hanoi, capital of Vietnam, to be held on Oct. 25 and 26, a senior official said.

The summits include the World Economic Forum on the Mekong region, the 7th Ayeyawady-Chao Phraya-Mekong Economic Cooperation Strategy (ACMECS) Summit, and the 8th Cambodia-Laos-Myanmar-Vietnam (CLMV) Summit, said Sry Thamarong, minister attached to the prime minister.

"These summits are a good opportunity for the leaders of CLMV countries to meet and discuss ways to further enhance their cooperation in all fields, particularly connectivity infrastructure, tourism, IT and human resources development," he said.

ACMECS countries comprise Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam. There are eight sectors where ACMECS is cooperating, namely trade and investment, agriculture, industry and energy, transportation, tourism, human resources development, public health, and environmental conservation. Endit
