British FTSE 100 decreases 0.49 pct on Monday

FTSE 100 Index, British benchmark stock market gauge, Monday decreases by 0.49 percent, or 34.07 points, to 6,986.40 points.

Share price of Provident Financial increased by 2.80 percent, topped the gainers of the blue chips. DCC, easyJet, Standard Life and Schroders increased by 1.90 percent, 1.42 percent, 1.40 percent and 1.39 percent respectively.

Hikma Pharmaceuticals led the top losers of the blue chips with a share price drop of 2.78 percent, following by Anglo American (2.61 percent), Randgold Resources (2.38 percent), United Utilities Group (2.20 percent) and Burberry Group (2.14 percent). Endit
