Confucius Institute at Kabul University cooperates with Marefat to promote Chinese culture

Confucius Institute at Kabul University held a ceremony on Monday with Marefat, a popular school in Afghanistan to celebrate their formal cooperation to promote the Chinese language teaching and culture.

Professor Ruish, founder of Marefat, said that "The Chinese department not only provides the language teaching but also opens a window for students to learn a different civilization."

"Our cooperation will enable more Afghan students to learn more about China. Meanwhile more Afghan students will study in China, which will enable more Chinese students to know more about Afghanistan. The ties between our two countries will become deeper and deeper."

Chinese Ambassador to Afghanistan Yao Jing said, "China's economy cannot reach real prosperity without the common development of all the neighboring countries. Afghanistan is an important partner of China in terms of economic development as well as cultural exchanges. The Chinese embassy will do our best to support the Chinese program in Marefat."

"The cooperation is another important program that Confucius Institute at Kabul University supports the Chinese language teaching in Afghanistan. We will offer teaching staff, Chinese books and other supports. I believe our cooperation will provide better opportunities for Afghan Chinese learners," said Li Huiyang, head of the Confucius Institute at Kabul University.

Marefat is one of the best schools in Afghanistan, with many graduates entering famous universities at home or abroad. Endit
