Singapore stocks close 0.41 pct lower

Singapore stocks finished lower on Friday, with the benchmark Straits Times Index (STI) down 11.56 points, or 0.41 percent, to close at 2,831.06.

A total of 1.52 billion shares changed hands with turnover of 735.9 million Singapore dollars (527.9 million U.S. dollars).

Decliners outnumbered gainers 223 to 137, while 539 others finished unchanged.

The STI index lost 2 points, or 0.07 percent, to close at 2,842.62 on Thursday. Endit
