Three Lao men arrested for drug-trafficking

Xinhua, October 21, 2016 Adjust font size:

Vietnamese border guards and Lao police have detained three Lao men when they were transporting 13,000 pills of lab-made drugs to Vietnam, local media reported Friday.

The border guard of Vietnam's central Quang Tri province and the police of Lao's central Savannakhet province on Thursday arrested the three men aged 19-26, confiscating the drug, a car and a motorbike, Vietnamese newspaper Cong An Nhan Dan (People's Police) reported.

The men confessed they bought the pills in the Lao capital city of Vientiane, transported them to a border area, and colluded with some Vietnamese people to bring the drug to Quang Tri for retail sales.

Vietnamese and Laos agencies are further probing into the case. Enditem
